She was born in 1983, Istanbul. She began her music education with Prof. Jirair Arslan in piano studying when she was 6. In the same year, she participated in Sayat Noya Children’s Choir under the baton of Kevork Tavityan, who is one of the artists in the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet. She carried on her music studies with piano, singing, solfege and harmony lectures with Prof. Jirair Arslan.
In 2000, she was accepted to the Art Major of Opera in Performing Arts of Mimar Sinan University Conservatory. She continued her education with the Art Major of Opera in Performing Arts of Istanbul University State Conservatory in 2002. She studied singing with Prof. Guzin Gurel, solfege with Nihan Atlıg and Duygu Unal, harmony with Duygu Unal, stage studies with Yekta Kara, Atilla Manizade, Aytaç Manizade, Mehmet Birkiye and Murat Goksu.
She graduated from the Art Major of Opera in Performing Arts of Mimar Sinan University Conservatory in 2007 and she also graduated from Non-Thesis Master Degree of Music Education program of Istanbul University Institute of Social Sciences Secondary Department Education in 2009. She participated in Beykent University’s certificate program “Body Language and Communication” in 2009 and successfully completed.
Akbulut took part in the show “Bartev and Friends” as guest soloist at Macka Faculty of Mines, the opera “La Traviata” accompanied by Borusan Philharmonic Orchestra at Lutfi Kirdar Congress Hall, the concert “The Note of Freedom- the Story of National Anthem” accompanied by Tekfen Philharmonic Orchestra at Lutfi Kirdar Congress Hall, Ahmet Adnan Saygun’s opus “Old Style at Cantata” at Cemal Resit Rey Concert Hall, Beethoven’s “9. Symphony” at Is Sanat Culture Center, Beethoven’s “Coral Fantasia” accompanied by Istanbul Symphony Orchestra as alto solo at Ataturk Cultural Center Hall, "Commemoration Night of Mevlana” at Cemal Resit Rey Concert Hall, the project “Lyrical History” belongs to Yekta Kara in Cesme and Ephesus, the opera “Carmen” as “Carmen” at Akatlar Cultural Center, Kadikoy Public Education Center and Ataturk Cultural Center Hall of Cyprus Near East University, Bartev Gary and Karolin-Hagop Mamigonyan’s project “Desilk” as guest artist at Cemal Resit Rey Concert Hall, the chamber music concert “Scottish Songs” as soloist at Rectorate Building Hall of Istanbul University.
In addition, she took part in various concerts and theatres at the Italian Cultural Institute, the Austrian Cultural Center, Afife Jale Scene, Cemal Resit Rey Concert Hall, Istanbul University Concert Hall.
In 2015, she performed with the pianist Isil Giray "French Composers Concert” , “Gypsy Songs” and performed with the guitarist Haluk Onat Akbulut “Spanish Songs” organized by Semiha Berksoy Opera Foundation at Windmill Art Center and Fulya Art Center. Otherwise she performed with Tres Ensamble at Leyla Gencer Opera House.
Also in 2001-2003 she conducted both visually and practically clinical trials with Prof. Guzin Gurel at Phoniatry Department of Istanbul University Capa Medical Faculty. She has been working on audio problems with the doctors of the MEDI Otorhinolaryngology Center since 2012 and carries out her work as singing pedagogue at Semiha Berksoy Opera Foundation.
