My musical biography

I’m a professional musician, hold a PhD and MMus in music education from the University of Toronto, Canada, as well as MA in music performance (specialty clarinet/saxophone). I have been performing and teaching all over the world. My research interests include music education and culture. My papers were presented and published in Canada and abroad.

Currently, I reside and teach in the Great Toronto area. I teach most woodwind and brass instruments at all levels, including Bb clarinet, bass clarinet, Eb clarinet, alto, tenor, baritone, soprano saxophones, flute, recorder, trumpet, trombone, baritone, tuba, as well as piano, music theory, and music history

I’ve been teaching music for over 28 years, preparing students for music competitions, festivals, recitals, auditions, concerts. Many of my students have launched successful professional careers in music.
