KOSMAS LAPATAS studied Piano, Harmony, Counterpoint, Fugue, Composition, Music Technology and Music Therapy.
He has been the student of world-renowned celebrities such as Dimitri Toufexis, Danae Kara, Marcos Alexiou, Ioannis Christofilos, Vassilis Dellios, Bruce Miller, David Mellor, Robert Dennis, Bobby Owsinski, and Nordoff-Robbins.
He is the recipient of the 1st Prize Award in Piano Performance from the Ministry of Culture, the 1st Prize in Composition from the International Art Academy, and the Classical Music Education Initiative Award from the CMM.
He has taught at the American College of Greece, Ziridi Schools, Tsettos Schools, and various prestigious Conservatories. Since 2006 he is Music Therapist at The Society of Social Psychiatry and Mental Health.
He has appeared as soloist and with orchestras at various concert halls and cultural centers.
He has recorded more than 20 CDs with Classical, Film and Electronic Music.
His memberships include IAPT, GAPE, GSME, MPG and IAC. His Fellowships include institutions such as the IPA, ACG, MIT, GIT and RID.
