Growing up listening and singing to the sounds of my dad’s guitar, and experimenting with the piano as soon as I could sit up, music is a part of me like walking and talking is.
When I started piano lessons at the age of 6, I did not think to take it to a professional level, but when I first sang in a choir three years later, I loved nothing more. I dogmatically sang in choirs and to my father’s guitar accompaniment and rolled into the Utrecht Conservatory at the age of 17.
Six years later I graduated under Charlotte Margiono, only loving music more thanks to her and to the wonderful composers I have worked with and still work with. I decided to enrich my stage presence by visiting a theatre school in Vienna but I can never stop making music.
